Its been a long journey, but now my work can finally hit the shelves, and now you all out there can own a copy too! (Im happy to sign books if youre in the area too just ask!) For those of you who are interested, its 272 pages of Sci-Fi thriller in a 6" x 9" perfect bound novel format on 60# cream interior paper with black and white interior ink, 100# white exterior paper, and a full-color exterior.
Ive done all I can to cut the costs of manufacturing down and still get a great product out there (the book itself is beautiful) so the total cost for each unit comes to a very reasonable $19.95, which makes it comparable to the price of almost all competing paperbacks in the easy-to-handle 6" x 9" category (alot are over $20) I was going to try to price it lower, but the market requires a larger mark-up so $19.95 was the lowest I could go and still make a profit.
Besides, you'll be supporting a new and upcoming author independant of the corporate big guys! Isn't that worth a few extra dollars?
Other than that, Aluminum Opus (the sequel) is done and scheduled to be released in 2008. The third book in the series, Carbon Aria, is currently in process, with the first three draft chapters completed.
----------------
Synopsis:
______It is 2162: The world has been unified for over half a century, and on the west coast of the North American District, Cybernetics and nanotechnology are a part of everyday life, rampant and uncontrollable crime is seen as a business opportunity, and global corporate conglomerates guide every aspect of the residual shreds of the once proud American government with a not-so-hidden hand. In this dark future, one woman has ridden the line between crime and morality for as long as she can remember, but now someone in the highest reaches of corporate-run government has taken an interest in her and will stop at nothing to catch her.
______Forced to run, desperately seeking help, and struggling to survive in a world that's collapsing in around her, Cylea must deal with the unique pressures of her time and a world gone mad with power. Betrayal is rampant, and trustworthy people are few and far between, but every brush with death builds a new layer of confidence within her, and ultimately yields new clues, as well as new mysteries, on the road to uncovering a deep-rooted conspiracy unlike any in the history of the human race, centered around the last person she'd ever expect it to be:
Herself.

"In an act of shameless promotion, the book is damngood stuff!"

"I loved it! Great job!"
"...[Cylea]'s sexy, cute, tough, vulnerable, and determined. She's yummy and lovable, in a way that could steal anyone's heart. She's irresistable. She's followed, chased, hammered, supported, betrayed, and protected as the story unfolds by an amazing variety of intense characters so skilfully and individually drawn you'll never mix them up or want to let them go.
"The story (or maybe its author?) could be the rebellious offspring of a one-night stand between Tank Girl and Ghostbusters. It's fast paced, well written, often funny, and hard to put aside, even at 2 am.
"I'd call it PG-13 and recommend it to anyone who likes to hang on the absurd but human edges of civilization and reality."
